GOOP Rocks!

To be honest, I was not a huge Gwyneth Paltrow fan, until I saw "Shakespeare in Love" and was dazzled by her (did I just use the word "dazzled"?, yup, but is very apropos for GP) :-).  I had always wondered what had happened to her, and then one day I caught her series on PBS "Spain - on the Road Again":

which was a joy to watch (must visit Spain!).
I didn't see her or the show again for quiet awhile, and then somehow stumbled across her website (there's that serendipity again):
http://goop.com/
and signed up to receive her newsletter which has been very interesting and informative (discovered Tracey Anderson and need to look into her workout stuff soon!):

but as usual, I digress ;-)
I just read the latest edition of the GOOP newsletter which is a travel article written by Michael Stipe (yes, the frontman for R.E.M.) all about New Orleans, which is a great town and one I'd like to revisit soon:

Past travel newsletters are on her website, do check it out, posts on San Fran, London and more:

What cities have you visited and found the secret (or not so secret) local cool, great place to go?

Keep Moving!

Very proud that I also managed to squeeze in a 30-min fast paced walk in my Skechers Shape-Ups (can I get a job as one of their spokespersons? LOL, guess I need to keep working on that!).  I’m also grateful for the wonders of Pandora and my station I created from Madonna tunes, allowing me to listen (for free!) to some fast paced, take me back to the 80’s, Girl Power music (Madonna, Janet Jackson, Gwen Stefani, “Holiday”, “Vogue”, “If I was Your Girl”, “If I was a Rich Girl”).  It’s great for exercising the body and the mind!

What do you do to get in a quick, good workout and also take a little mini-break from reality?

How do you decide on a new career?

A question that has been nagging at me my whole life…I think it’s great that so many folks know exactly what they want and who they want to be.  I wish I was one of them!  I serendipitously ran into a colleague at work yesterday (she is a strong believer in the religion of serendipity and I think I’m beginning to be as well!), who is at a similar juncture in her career.  Have been with the company for almost 13 years, so have a lot of experience and history, but how does that translate into what to do with your future?  She recommended a book to me which I picked up at Barnes and Noble last night and can’t wait to get started on it, sounds very insightful and got great reviews on the BN and Amazon websites:

Have you ever wanted to make some big life changes and not known how to go about it?  What did you do to get started on your way?

Get Moving :-)

Just got a 30 min walk in my Skechers ShapeUps in while @ Matthew's soccer practice..how do you squeeze in fitness?

Just enjoyed the PBWC September Webinar - How Collaboration Can Change the World: Getting Networked in the Networking Age with Ayelet Baron...interesting, but soooo much more to learn about social media, networking, etc.  Following Ayelet on Twitter now and found her blog and noticed she uses Posterous to publish, so thought I would check it out.  So here goes...Cheers
